Porter Kirkwood and the Shields/Barnes family

Porter Kirkwood posted on his campaign website a supportive letter in the Daily Star out of Florida, of the former Delaware County Court clerk Allison Barnes.

Barnes supports Kirkwood, yet, Barnes has the same last name as a huge clan of Barnes/Shields that occupies all kinds of positions in Delaware County under Kirkwood as the County Attorney - from investigators and social workers to the Treasurer, and all of them have Kirkwood to thank for (1) lack of anti-nepotism policies that would prohibit family members employed by the County where such employment creates conflicts of interest and (2) for raises giving money to the clan members at the expense of Delaware County taxpayers.

No wonder the Barneses and the Coles and the Shieldses of Delaware County root for their "benefactor".

And there is nothing "professional" about it.
